Door Inserts

Maxie-Vue Door Inserts accommodate 1 3/4" thick wood frames and will fill any size opening. Standard opening heights are listed in the size chart, but pre-existing door openings can be fitted using custom sill boots. Sills are pitched and designed with legs to slide perfectly over standard 1 3/4" frames. Louvers are sealed with vinyl bead strip. Headers are flat topped and lipped for a vinyl bead strip for sealing the top louver when closed. Hanger hardware consists of the hanger extrusion, vinyl weatherseal, perforated track, louver clips, and operator. Louver clips for doors will accommodate 4 1/2" blades of glass, wood, or aluminum. The clips are riveted to the hanger hardware. Vinyl louver retainers are provided for glass or aluminum blades, screws are provided for wood blades. 8 1/2" blades are not available for door inserts. Operators can be provided for single operation of all the louvers, or mounted in pairs for opening top louvers and bottom louvers separately. Louver division points are optional. A standard insert consists of 15 louvers, one right hand operator, and screen. Screens for door inserts are extruded aluminum with choice of #18 x #16 charcoal aluminum or fiberglass mesh. Screens are mounted directly to the back of the door, not to the insert. |
